03/18/2008 05:10:00]Yes, I assembled them by myself. The first one took 3 hours, the second one in about an hour.

  14. First time to leave message here!!! Nice to meet you!!
I'm doing exactly the same way as yours one!! (putting all DVD boxes and comic/fiction on the shelf) And I'm going to buy that IKEA shelf as well!! But I don't think Australia would sell as cheap as yours price!! (The IKEA "BILLY" also ask for AUD$99, about HK$650-700!! )
If my memory serves me right, the glass shelf was over CAD$99. The price was reduced shortly before I bought mine. In other words, AUD$99 might not be unreasonable. On top of that, given the look of the shelve and its practicality, even AUD$99 is not a bad deal at all.

  15. Ha Ha Ha!!! Thx for the information. Actually IKEA at Australia having a "low" selling price on furniture comparing with those local make!!! However................$99 is just normal "Billy" bookshelf, but not the glass shelf.............orz!!! The glass one............ask for AUD $179 http://www.ikea.com/au/en/catalog/products/10119206
08/15/2008 21:02:00]Ouch, it's very pricey

  16. Yes.............I just checked the price at HK..............sale HK $690 http://www.ikea.com.hk/chi/whatnew/08crazy_special.html Comparing with the price at Australia................ HK 12xx............... http://www.ikea.com/au/en/catalog/categories/departments/living_room/10384/ Let see when would sale at here, then I can buy 2!!
[版主回覆08/16/2008 05:23:00]My experience is that paying for the cost of the glass shelf is not the biggest problem. The biggest one is bring one back home! Each one is very heavy, 2 will be impossible for one guy

  17. That's too expensive to buy 2 at the same time. Just my planning.............to get two only!!! BTW, except furniture, the selling price of Gunpla is high at Australia (Syd and Mel) as well!!!
08/16/2008 08:58:00]Put it this way, the price of Gunpla in Hong Kong is unhealthily cheap!

  18. That's true!! But right now I would generally order Gunpla from China directly. As lower transportation cost, and the selling price is similar with HK as well!!!!! BTW, Syd and Mel also 3-4 times higher than HK...........................!!
08/17/2008 11:47:00]I never even think of using those mail order shops from China. I usually ordered my models from Japan directly.

  19. As me and my gf would always ordering stuff from China (anything, including dressing as well!), I would adding order of Gunpla (and tools, paints...........etc) from there at the same time. Comparing the price, sometimes may even cheaper than HK (normal selling price I means). And lot of different types of products available on 1 web. So that can save my time!!! (main issue is............my Japanese not that good, browsing JP web......................not easy to find stuff that I want!!! And going through agent at JP would charge me more..................!!)
